Not Strawberry

No, it is not  strawberry nor any other red-berry. It is - drumroll please - watermelon jam .  It tastes quite nice, the smell is a bit unusual, however. It is very sweet, so you can reduce the amount of sugar which you use. I did it without sugar. If you do like me, keep it in the fridge. This is my last glass from 2022 - nearly one year without any problem - but it was very well closed. If you like, combine it with Kiwi jam - it looks good and tastes good together - green and red, very sweet and slightly sour (I usually don't use sugar for these jams).

Autumn colors - not the usual

If you go there early enough in the day, the sun let the colors of the Japanese larch trees explode. Together with the Japanese maple (orange and red) and the Gingko tree (yellow), the Japanese larch produces extravibrant colors in autumn (orangebrown). They are especially beautiful when seen together with blue skies. I added a close-up photo of the leaves as some people couldn't believe that it is a larch.
